Terms and Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
These terms govern your use of Bath Ticket Marketplace. By using the website or completing a transaction you agree to be bound by them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer law.
1. Introduction
Bath Ticket Marketplace operates an online marketplace that allows individuals to list and purchase tickets for events. By accessing the website, creating an account or completing a purchase or sale, you agree to these terms and conditions.
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated appropriately, and the latest version will always appear on this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use Bath Ticket Marketplace. By registering you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and current.
You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account and for keeping your login credentials and email account secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly.
3. Role of the platform
Bath Ticket Marketplace provides an online marketplace together with payment processing, ticket delivery and ownership-recording services. The contract for the sale and purchase of a ticket is formed directly between the seller and the buyer.
Bath Ticket Marketplace is not the event organiser, venue, performer, promoter or original ticket issuer, and is not a party to the underlying ticket sale contract. We do not independently verify or guarantee the validity of every listing.
4. Seller responsibilities
By listing a ticket on Bath Ticket Marketplace, you confirm that you:
- own the ticket or are otherwise authorised to sell and transfer it;
- have uploaded the correct, complete and usable ticket file;
- are satisfied that the ticket can legally and contractually be transferred;
- have accurately described the event, venue, date and ticket details;
- have not listed the same ticket elsewhere once it has been sold or reserved;
- will not retain, reuse, duplicate or distribute the ticket after sale;
- will not sell fraudulent, altered, cancelled, already-used, expired or otherwise invalid tickets.
Sellers must cooperate with any reasonable investigation or refund request. Listings may be removed and accounts restricted or suspended where misuse is suspected.
5. Buyer responsibilities
Before purchasing, buyers must:
- check that the event, venue, date and ticket details are correct;
- provide accurate contact and payment information;
- protect the ticket after delivery and not duplicate or distribute it;
- comply with any applicable venue and event conditions of entry.
Admission decisions remain with the venue or event organiser. Bath Ticket Marketplace does not guarantee entry to any event.
6. Listings and availability
Listings are created by individual users and may be withdrawn by the seller before a purchase is completed. Availability is not guaranteed. A purchase is complete only once payment has been successfully confirmed by Stripe.
7. Prices and fees
- Sellers choose the base price for their ticket.
- Buyers pay the displayed ticket price plus a buyer service fee. The full amount payable is clearly displayed before checkout.
- Sellers pay a seller service fee deducted from their proceeds.
- Current fees are 5% for buyers and 5% for sellers. These are subject to change. Changes will not apply retrospectively to completed transactions.
8. Payments and seller payouts
Payments are processed by Stripe. By using the payment or seller-payout features you may be required to accept Stripe's own terms and conditions.
Seller payouts may be delayed or withheld where required by payment disputes, suspected fraud, refund obligations, legal requirements or Stripe compliance processes.
9. Ticket delivery
Following confirmed payment, the purchased ticket file is delivered to the buyer. You must ensure your registered email address is correct and check your spam folder. Delivery of the ticket file does not guarantee admission to the event.
10. Prohibited activity
You must not:
- commit fraud or misrepresent a listing;
- duplicate or distribute a ticket that has been sold;
- abuse the chargeback process dishonestly;
- use automated tools to scrape or interfere with the service;
- attempt unauthorised access to the platform or another user's account;
- use the platform in a way that is unlawful or that harms another person.
11. Cancellations and refunds
Tickets for leisure events on a specific date will not normally have a general change-of-mind cancellation right. Purchases are typically final once payment is confirmed.
Refunds may be considered in certain circumstances. See our Refunds and Cancellations page for full details.
12. Event changes and cancellations
Bath Ticket Marketplace has no control over event cancellation, postponement, venue changes, line-up changes or conditions of entry. Where an event is cancelled, buyers should first check the original ticket issuer's refund policy.
We may assist in such cases but cannot guarantee that the original issuer will refund a resale buyer.
13. Disputes and chargebacks
Please contact us before raising a chargeback where possible. Information about a transaction may be shared with Stripe, payment providers, relevant parties or authorities where necessary to investigate a dispute.
14. Suspension and termination
We may remove listings, restrict accounts or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or serious or repeated breaches of these terms.
15. Intellectual property
The website, branding, code and platform content belong to Bath Ticket Marketplace or its licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us permission to host and display it as necessary to operate the service.
16. Availability of the service
We cannot guarantee continuous or error-free access to the platform. Maintenance or technical failures may occur. We will take reasonable steps to restore the service promptly.
17. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to the above, Bath Ticket Marketplace is not responsible for losses caused by events outside its reasonable control, venue admission decisions, event changes or inaccurate seller information, except where we are legally responsible for such loss.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You also retain any mandatory consumer protections applicable under the law of the country where you reside.
